Installation FAQs

1  Symbols inserted are too large or too small for the drawing.
       Created symbols get rescaled.

Set the AutoCAD insertion scale units.

1. Click Format > Units
2. Click Tools > Options > User Preferences
3. Set the preferences to Unitless

All the symbols in HyDraw library are stored in Millimeter units.
If the HyDraw unit setting is Inches, then the program re-scales the symbol by 1/25.4, when inserting it into the drawing.

If the symbols are in Inch unit, then scale the symbols by 25.4 before adding to the HyDraw library.

To view linked documents:

1. Click Edit Component Properties on the HyDraw^® V410 toolbar.
   Alternatively,
   Click Edit Component Properties on the HyDraw^® V410 drop-down menu.
2. Click the Select Component button.
   The Select Component dialog box displays.
3. Click View Linked Documents to view the attached document with the selected component.
4. Double click the link to view the document.

Alternatively, to view linked documents after the component is inserted into the drawing:

1. Select Component and Connection Properties in the HyDraw A405 menu.
2. Select Edit Component Properties
3. Select the component.
   The Select Component dialog box displays.
4. Click View Linked Documents to view the attached document with the selected component.
5. Double click the link to view the document.
   

Mechanical Desktop will not support HyDraw. However, AutoCAD Mechanical, which is merely an extension of AutoCAD, will support it.

An instance of the Explorer is already running.
Go to the Windows Task Manager, and kill the process, ‘HyDwHyDrawExplorerV1.exe’
