Create/Modify Footprint Outline

Footprint outline dimensions are stored with the First Bolt Hole in a footprint.

1.     Select the first bolt hole (BH1) from the cavity list on the Edit Footprint Data dialog box.

2.     You can Attach/Delete Outline to Bolt Hole (BH) of a Footprint.

·       Click Edit Outline.

The Edit Outline option is enabled automatically on selecting the First Bolt hole.
The Add/Modify Envelope dialog box displays.

·       Select the Type of envelope.

·       Enter the respective envelope value.

·       Click Save to save the data.
If Envelope is already linked to a bolt hole of a footprint then that Envelope type is displayed in selected state.

·       Select the Clear button to delete the linked envelope to the cavity.

3.     Click Save in Edit Footprint Data window to save Outline data into the library.

Note

·       The Footprint envelope can only contain two types of entities, Line and Arc.

·       The Footprint envelope data is stored with the First Bolt Hole in the footprint.
