Drawing Enhancements

Addition of Show/Hide in All Annotations

Now able to Show/Hide Engraving Text, Machining ID, Component ID, and Construction Ports

Balloons Automatically Placed Off- Face

In drawings, balloons are now automatically placed outside of the block

Face Titles for Machining Chart

Now able to insert Machining Charts by face. When manually using Create Machining Chart command, faces are labeled both by name (Top) and matching letters (A)

Assembly Enhancements

Support for Flanges as Construction Ports

Now able to mark flanges as construction ports, assign CAD models in plug library, and automatically assemble using the assemble plugs command. Flanges marked as construction ports will no longer appear in Shrinkwrap when No Construction Ports is checked.

Assemble Child Manifolds to Main Manifold

Now able to assemble child manifolds on to the main manifold as assignable CAD models, while still recognizing the main manifold as the parent

Slip In Cartridge Assembly Improvements

Now able to Insert Slip in Cartridge Assembly smoothly with one assembly command

Engravings Inserted Outside Footprint

When inserting footprints from an XML Schematic, the engravings now default to a position outside the footprint outline

Insert Orifice on a Port without a Step 12

MDTools can now support a workflow where the Step 12 isn't needed due to an orifice. The Library Manager may be used to remove Step 12 from a copy of the cavity.

Import cavity to MDTools library manager from XML/ MBXML

MDTools Library Manager 2025
Using MLM 2025 you can now import cavities from MBXML. This can be useful if you've customized a cavity or footprint while using MDTools that you would like to add to your library.
